Position Summary

An international renewable energy manufacturer is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager responsible for driving sales growth and developing market opportunities across Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire). The role requires a commercially focused individual capable of building strategic customer relationships and identifying new renewable energy opportunities within the region.


Key Responsibilities

Business Growth

  • Develop and execute country-specific sales and business development strategies.
  • Generate new business opportunities across utility-scale, commercial, industrial, and off-grid segments.
  • Expand market presence through strategic partnerships and channel development.

Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, IPPs, distributors, developers, government stakeholders, and major customers.
  • Lead commercial engagements and negotiations.
  • Ensure consistent customer engagement and support.

Opportunity Management

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline.
  • Monitor project opportunities from identification through award stage.
  • Support tender participation and proposal development processes.

Market Analysis

  • Conduct market mapping and opportunity assessments.
  • Monitor policy, regulatory, and competitive developments.
  • Provide regular market intelligence to regional leadership.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, account management, or business development within renewable energy, power generation, or electrical infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience selling through partners, distributors, or project channels.
  • Knowledge of the Ivorian energy and infrastructure market would be advantageous.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a wide territory.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Fluency in French required; English advantageous.
