Project Execution Manager - Industrial & Infrastructure Projects

A leading industrial services and infrastructure solutions provider is seeking an experienced Project Execution Manager to lead the delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary projects across energy, water, and waste treatment sectors. This is a senior leadership role focused on engineering, construction management, and project delivery, with responsibility for managing both technical teams and commercial project outcomes across large‑scale industrial facilities.

Role Overview

The Project Execution Manager will take ownership of the technical department and project delivery function, ensuring the successful execution of engineering studies, tenders, and construction projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and work closely with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Construction Leadership

  • Lead and manage construction teams, including site supervisors, planners, commissioning engineers, and cost controllers
  • Oversee full project execution lifecycle from design through to commissioning
  • Ensure projects are delivered within time, cost, and quality constraints

Engineering & Technical Management

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and control systems
  • Approve technical deliverables for engineering studies, site audits, and tenders
  • Ensure designs meet client specifications and industry standards

Commercial & Tendering Support

  • Prepare and lead technical and commercial proposals for tenders and engineering studies
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals
  • Manage pricing, costing inputs, and commercial clarifications with clients

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Participate in technical presentations and meetings with clients and partners
  • Support business development activities through technical expertise
  • Represent the organisation in client engagements, seminars, and industry forums

Portfolio Development

  • Support development of key business areas including:
    • Energy management
    • Water treatment
    • Waste treatment solutions
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Governance, Safety & Quality

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards and internal procedures
  • Oversee risk management and quality assurance across all projects

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineering and project teams
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Foster a high‑performance, collaborative culture

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in engineering and project execution
  • Proven experience delivering large, complex industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Strong background in energy, water treatment, waste management, or turnkey projects
  • Professional registration (e.g. PrEng) advantageous

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge across multidisciplinary engineering environments
  • Experience in construction management and project execution
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate business opportunities
  • Experience managing contracts, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Advanced planning and scheduling (MS Project or equivalent)
  • Strong reporting, technical writing, and presentation skills
