A leading company within the renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to lead and strengthen its procurement function.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior leadership role for a commercially astute procurement professional who can balance strategic sourcing, supplier management, governance, cost optimisation and operational delivery.
Position: Head of Procurement
Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg
Qualifications:
MCIPS, CIPS qualified (Highly Beneficial)Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, MBA

Skills:
Extensive procurement experience, preferably within renewable energy, energy, infrastructure, construction, engineering or a related sectorExperience with strategic sourcing and supplier managementStrong commercial and negotiation skillsProven experience managing and developing a procurement team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leading, mentoring and developing the procurement teamDeveloping and implementing effective procurement strategiesManaging sourcing activities, tenders, RFQs and supplier negotiationsDriving cost efficiencies and delivering commercial valueManaging and developing key supplier and vendor relationshipsEnsuring procurement activities align with company policies and governance requirementsMonitoring compliance with delegated authority frameworks and procurement proceduresIdentifying procurement risks and implementing appropriate controls
