We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Nelspruit/Mbombela.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing existing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities and providing technical sales support across pumps, spares and pumping systems.

This is a hands-on technical sales position requiring strong knowledge of the pump industry, excellent customer relationship skills and the ability to manage the full sales and order process from enquiry and quotation through to delivery.

Key AccountabilitiesManage and regularly call on existing customers while actively identifying opportunities to expand the customer base and enter new markets.Develop and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, project houses, municipalities and industrial customers.Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market share and drive sales growth.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, new projects and upcoming tenders.Follow up weekly on all outstanding quotations, projects and open tenders.Provide technical support to customers, including onsite fault finding and problem solving on pumps and pumping systems.Competently select and specify pumps using appropriate pump selection software.Prepare quotations for pumps and spares.Process customer orders using SAP.Process orders for manufactured and buy-out products.Manage orders from initial system loading through production and final delivery.Liaise closely with factory and production teams regarding orders in progress.Keep customers informed regarding order status, expected completion and delivery dates.Load, maintain and update projects on C4C weekly.Ensure customer contacts and company information remain current.Follow the required protocols when handling customer claims.Assist fellow branch employees where required.Meet agreed deadlines and maintain a high standard of customer service and customer satisfaction.Assist with in-house repairs, inspections, assessments and other technical duties as required by management or customers.Assist with receiving and dispatching stock.Assist with cycle counts.Operate an overhead crane and forklift where required.Assist with customer deliveries when required.Perform other reasonable duties related to the position as required by management.Education & Qualifications

Essential:

Matric / Grade 12.Mechanical Engineering N4 or higher, or an equivalent relevant tertiary mechanical qualification.Experience

Essential:

Minimum 4 years' sales experience within the pump industry.Demonstrated experience selling pumps, pump systems, spares or closely related mechanical equipment.Practical understanding of pump applications, pump selection, troubleshooting and fault finding.

Advantageous:

Experience dealing with industrial customers.Experience working with consulting engineers.Experience dealing with project houses.Experience dealing with municipalities.Experience within the Mpumalanga market.Experience with pumping systems and associated mechanical equipment.Systems & Technical RequirementsProficient in Microsoft 365.Proficiency in SAP.Proficiency in C4C / CRM systems.Ability to use pump selection software confidently.Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.Ability to understand customer applications and recommend appropriate pump solutions.Ability to provide practical technical support and assist with onsite fault finding.Key Competencies
