Are you an experienced Asset Management professional with a background in renewable energy, infrastructure or engineering?

We are currently partnering with a large multinational Independent Power Producer (IPP) that is looking for a Senior Associate - Asset Management to join its Cape Town team.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of renewable energy projects and work closely with project SPVs, lenders, offtakers, regulators and key project counterparties.

Position: Asset Management

Location: Western Cape, Cape Town

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering or Finance5 years + experience within similar roleExcellent Exel knowledgeFIDIC and Nec experience

Skills:

Strong understanding of project finance and financial modellingExperience engaging with lenders, SPVs, offtakers, regulators and project counterpartiesExposure to project finance facilities, drawdowns and hedging instruments would be highly advantageousStrong commercial and analytical capabilityExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage assigned projects on behalf of the project SPV Boards of Directors, ensuring effective governance and performance oversight.Manage and engage with key counterparties, including Construction Management teams, ED service providers, Offtakers, Regulators and other project stakeholders.Manage insurance policies, renewals and related requirements across the assigned portfolio.Maintain and update project financial models, including monthly updates, analysis and reporting.Utilise financial models to assess trends, forecast performance and analyse overall project financial and operational performance.Manage relationships and engagement with lenders and financing parties.Manage facility drawdowns and oversee associated financing requirements.Manage hedging instruments, including Forward Exchange Contracts (FECs) and Interest Rate Swaps (IRS).
