Role PurposeThe Financial Accountant is responsible for managing core accounting functions across a group of entities, with a focus on project-level (SPV) and group reporting, shareholder structures, and international operations.This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting capability, responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust intercompany structures, and supporting funding, audit, and compliance requirements across the group.

- Manage accounting across multiple entities within the group, including South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia
- Perform group consolidations and ensure accurate reporting across all entities
- Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances and related party transactions
- Deliver the full monthly financial cycle, including:
- Preparation of management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Variance analysis and reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate IFRS-compliant financial reporting
- Provide meaningful financial insights to support decision-making
- Manage financial reporting for special purpose vehicles (SPVs)
- Support project-level accounting, including tracking costs, revenues, and funding structures
- Ensure alignment with lender and investor reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate records of shareholder loans and intercompany funding arrangements
- Calculate and track interest, repayments, and loan movements
- Ensure compliance with agreed loan terms and accounting standards
- Support reporting requirements for local and international shareholders
- Assist with external audits, ensuring all supporting schedules and documentation are accurate and complete
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Strengthen financial controls and reporting processes
- Support cash management and cashflow tracking across entities
- Assist with financial planning and liquidity management at group and project level
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and controls
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and scalability of the finance function
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years' accounting experience within a group or multi-entity environment (non-negotiable)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification
- Strong practical experience with IFRS reporting
- Experience working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
