Project Finance Manager | Infrastructure & Energy Advisory

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution
- Lead the execution of project finance and financial advisory mandates.
- Drive transaction processes from origination through financial close.
- Support transaction structuring and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure successful delivery of multiple concurrent mandates.
Financial Modelling & Analysis
- Build, review, and challenge complex financial models.
- Oversee valuation, feasibility, and commercial analysis activities.
- Evaluate project risks, sensitivities, and financing structures.
- Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Act as a trusted advisor throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Engage directly with sponsors, lenders, investors, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and delivery excellence.
Business Development
- Support new business origination and proposal development.
- Contribute to client acquisition and growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities within existing client portfolios.
- Assist in expanding the firm's market presence across Africa.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor junior team members.
- Review work outputs and provide technical guidance.
- Manage resources across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with investors, lenders, sponsors, legal advisors, and technical consultants.
- Coordinate due diligence and transaction requirements.
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders throughout transaction execution.
Requirements
Qualifications
- CA(SA), CFA, or equivalent finance qualification preferred.
- Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Strong background in project finance, corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory.
- Demonstrated transaction execution experience across infrastructure, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Proven experience managing teams and leading projects.
- Track record of managing client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory services.
Technical Skills
- Advanced financial modelling capabilities.
- Strong understanding of project finance structures and funding mechanisms.
- Experience with valuation methodologies and commercial analysis.
- Ability to evaluate and challenge complex financial assumptions and outputs.
