Are you an experienced Project Finance professional with exceptional financial modelling expertise and a passion for delivering complex renewable energy transactions?

Our client, a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP), is looking to appoint a Project Finance & Modelling Manager to join their high-performing Project Finance & Modelling team.

Reporting directly to the Director of Project Finance & Modelling. The key responsibility is to own, run and optimise complex project finance models for transactions (including greenfield projects, tenders, acquisitions) in various stages of development, from early-stage screening up to execution / financial close, including bids / binding offers, PPA negotiation, procurement, debt financing and investment appraisal.

Location: Cape Town

Qualifications:

CA(SA), CFA, ACCA or similarMinimum of 7 years' experience in Project Finance within renewable energyProven experience in financial modelling of complex transactions

Salary: R1.5mil to R1.7mil Ex. Performance Bonus

Skills:

Project Finance modelling, including VBA and application of industry best practicesMicrosoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).Able to support the negotiation of complex legal and commercial issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Build, run and optimise complex project finance models for greenfield project and acquisition opportunities.Lead and manage financial model training, standardisation, and quality control of ongoing modelling efforts by the team.Support the structuring, negotiation and finalisation of project finance and acquisition transactions including the review and input into financing documents, share purchase agreements or acquisition debt documents, as well as principal project agreements.Provide detailed input into the drafting of Investment Committee and Board papers, most notably in the form of detailed financial analysis.Manage and support junior members of the project finance and M&A team as required and in particular on specified development projects.
