About the Opportunity

A leading alternative investment fund administration firm is seeking an experienced SBIC Director to join its growing specialist SBIC practice.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone with strong SBIC, SBA, fund accounting, and alternative investment experience who is looking to take ownership of client relationships, oversee complex fund administration, and lead high-performing teams.

The role is fully remote and offers a starting salary of $180,000+, with the opportunity to play a key role within an established and growing SBIC platform.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee the administration of a portfolio of SBIC fundsAct as a senior point of contact and trusted advisor to clientsOversee SBIC fund accounting, financial reporting, and administrationReview and oversee SBA-related reporting and compliance requirementsProvide oversight of partnership accounting and Form 1065 reportingSupport SBA reporting and regulatory submissionsReview complex accounting matters and ensure accurate, timely deliverablesLead, mentor, and develop fund accounting and administration teamsWork closely with internal teams to resolve technical and client-related issuesDrive process improvements and best practices across the SBIC practiceSupport client retention and business development initiativesWhat We're Looking ForSignificant experience working with SBIC fundsStrong understanding of SBA regulations, reporting, and complianceBackground in fund accounting, fund administration, or alternative investmentsExperience with partnership accounting and Form 1065Previous management or leadership experienceStrong client-facing and relationship management skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsCPA or other relevant professional designation is preferredWhat's On Offer$180,000+ starting salaryFully remoteSenior leadership position within a specialist SBIC practiceOpportunity to work with sophisticated alternative investment clientsSignificant exposure to a highly niche and in-demand area of fund administrationLong-term career progression within a growing platform
