Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Wiring
* Install electrical systems including DB boards, cabling, conduits, lighting, and power systems
* Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and technical schematics
* Perform new installations, upgrades, and modifications
Testing & Commissioning
* Test electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety
* Identify faults and troubleshoot installation issues
* Assist with commissioning of systems (including solar, if applicable)
Compliance & Safety
* Ensure all work complies with SANS regulations and site-specific safety standards
* Maintain safe working practices at all times
* Assist in preparing installations for inspection and sign-off (e.g. COC readiness)
Site Work & Coordination
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams
* Manage tools, materials, and installation timelines effectively
* Provide feedback on site challenges or design issue
Qualifications:
* Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal preferred)
* Wireman's License (advantageous, especially Installation or Single Phase Tester)
3+ years experience in electrical installations
* Experience in commercial or industrial projects (solar experience is a bonus, not a must)
* Valid driver's licens
