A growth-focused mining company is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the technical, operational, and strategic performance of its mining assets and development projects.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will oversee the full mining value chain, from feasibility studies and project development through to operational execution, optimisation, and long-term value creation. This role requires a commercially astute mining leader with deep technical expertise, strong operational experience, and a proven ability to deliver results in complex mining environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead mining operations, technical services, project development, and infrastructure planning.Drive operational excellence across safety, productivity, cost control, and performance.Oversee feasibility studies, mine planning, resource development, and project execution.Optimise mining methods, asset utilisation, and operational efficiency.Manage operational and capital budgets while supporting EBITDA and profitability objectives.Champion a world-class safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.Evaluate and implement innovative mining technologies and operational improvements.Support strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions, expansions, and partnerships.Engage with investors, regulators, communities, and key stakeholders.Build and develop high-performing operational and technical teams.

Experience Required:

Significant senior leadership experience within underground or large-scale mining operations.Proven track record managing technical, operational, and commercial aspects of mining businesses.Strong experience across mine development, operational readiness, production, and optimisation.Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.Commercially minded with experience managing budgets, project economics, and business performance.
