We're in search of a driven and experienced Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to serve as a senior technical consultant for utility-scale Solar PV and Wind Energy projects in Southern Africa, with opportunities to support international projects. The role requires strong technical skills, project management experience, and business development capabilities in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality technical advisory services. Manage projects and coordinate between engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, and control & instrumentation).Offer technical input throughout the project life-cycle, from initial assessment to feasibility studies. Prepare and manage technical specifications, bills of materials, tender processes, and contract negotiations. Conduct due diligence of solar PV projects and support financial close processes. Assess and manage technical, financial, and operational risks. Monitor project construction and commissioning. Mentor and supervise junior engineers. Drive business development, including sales strategy, market selection, and proposal preparation. Manage client relationships and represent the Company at meetings.

Requirements:

Bachelors in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).7+ years of experience in Solar PV technology; Wind Technology experience is a plus.Experience in South African (REIPP) and regional/overseas projects preferred. In-depth knowledge of solar PV/Wind Turbine technologies and emerging trends. Technical advisory experience with investors, developers, and banks. Proven business development experience. Knowledge of various solar PV applications and plant designs.Candidate registration is required; Professional registration is preferred.Strong technical report writing and communication skills.Ability to manage time, quality, and project deliverables. Project management and coordination skills.Ability to work independently and under pressure.
